Atlas is the most gorgeous little munchkin who has been living his best life in foster care with us, and is now ready for his furever home.
Atlas is a larger-than-life fuzz ball with a love for plush toys, puddles, and booping people with his nose.
This little fella didn’t see much love or company until recently, but don’t let that fool you into thinking he’s reclusive or shy. In fact, Atlas is determined to make up for all the lost time by being in everybody’s business all the time and greeting every dog with love.
He’s a superstar at daycare, where he is every dog’s new best friend, and every human’s new shadow. His carer has it on good authority that he is the preferred dog to make all new dog intros with, as he is just that good with everyone. He would thrive in a home with another dog, or with regular interactions with other dogs.
Atlas is full of energy and love, and loves to talk to you and have conversations. One of his favourite things in the world is sitting next to you and getting you to rub his chest.
Atlas has been living with a smaller, older dog in foster care and they get along and play, although due to Atlas’s young age, we know he’d love a doggy friend who can match his size and energy levels. He is very dog social and loves making new friends and being chased at the park.
Atlas is a Very Good Boy, very smart, housetrained and loves to be able to come in and out so he can be near his people. He’s very affectionate, a goofball and a little cuddle bunny. He likes to have his head on you when sleeping on the couch at night whilst you are watching tv. He thrives on routine and is a big smoocher.
He loves his walk, and as a younger dog, has high energy levels that need to be worked off, and he’s learning fast how to be good on lead, and needs just a bit more work here. When it comes to training, Atlas is a typical husky and only does things in his own time.
He can sit, drop (down), shake and we have been working on wait. He has been taught to sit and wait before he gets his food bowl as well, and he’s treat motivated.
Atlas is a really playful lad who loves giving you his toys to play tug. He will serenade you a couple of times a day with a squeaky toy in the mouth while he sings at the same time. We know his perfect home isn’t far away!
The usual husky rules apply, with no cats or pocket pets, lots of love and exercise, and secure dig-proof 5ft + fencing.
