About Togo

Male

2 years 8 months

Siberian husky

Melbourne, Australia

Togo greets you in the morning with a good chat and is ready for his walk where he “prances” well on a harness. Loves to run as well if the human is up to some running.

Togo sleeps on his own bed all night once he is settled into the family home but will happily sleep with you if allowed.

Beautifully house trained and adores visitors, playing chasey in the backyard during the day but settles and chills in the evening. Appears to be ok during storms as long as he has access to inside the home.

Puppy energy and play traits are visible when first meets other dogs but settles to their energy level. He is a water baby- hose, beach or running taps, he just loves water. Plays with sticks, toys and tennis balls and loves a good sun bake. He’s learning that treats for training can be fun on top of praise, pats and love. He sits and shakes before meals. Not food or toy aggressive.

This little character has done very cute traits, he will stomp his feet and backchat if he disagrees with you but gives in pretty easy. Can open sliding doors and will steal your toothbrush if he can reach it.

He loves his zoomies and can even do a piroet when excited and happy to see you. He will also guard the bathroom for you when you are indisposed.

He’s an absolute all rounder so full of love and when he trusts you which doesn’t take long, you will wonder where has been all your life. It does take time to earn his trust, but once you have he will love unconditionally.

Togo loves couch cuddles and to sleep with you, adores a tummy rub and a head massage. His manners are good and gentle, takes food gently, sits when asked and gives eye contact. Just a gentle ugh ugh when he’s not to do something is enough to reinforce expected behaviours.

  • Good in the car and happy to sit in his seatbelt harness.
  • Excited for his walks
  • Pulls on lead first few minutes then settles.
  • Good with other dogs same size as him but is very forward in saying hello
  • Suited to older kids who will let him get to know them and trust them.
  • He would suit being with a suitable size and active canine companion or as an only dog. If an only dog would prefer his humans are around more often than not.

Togo is crate trained although he’s not a big fan of his crate and will protest vocally about his disapproval being in the crate but will settle eventually. He has good overnight house manners so the crate isn’t needed if preferred. Togo will need kind loving humans with a lot of time to spend with him.
