Our very handsome charming boy is now looking to find his new forever family.
Melo is a loving gentle soul that wants so much to be loved and be with his humans. He is called Velcro dog by his foster carer as he looks to follow her everywhere. He can be found patiently waiting at the door for your return. He does not rush the door but waits calmly for you to enter.
His howl is beautiful and he loves to have a chat with you. He will happily snuggle and cuddle with you, sometimes even thinks he is meant to be a lap dog.
He loves going for a walk. He is walking very well using the halti..very responsive to requests. He is learning to sit at each road while on a walk. He is very eager to meet other dogs, for the most part meets are ok but his manners could be improved. He can be jumpy and playful, not always welcomed by other dogs. He thinks everyone loves him and can jump up when meeting people… we are working to improve his manners and greeting skills.
He will sit and wait for his dinner to be served waiting for command to eat. (May need work if feeding with other dogs).
Melo obedience is improving but requires work. He can be stubborn and irritated if he feels is not getting his way. This has improved considerably since on the halti. Overall he is an extremely gentle boy.
Melo knows sit, stay (husky rules apply with selective hearing), shakes paw with either foot. Will drop with a treat.
He is fully house trained. For the most part he sees and poos in the same place in the yard. He does not poo on walks but waits until he returns home.
He likes to sleep inside….will sleep on a bed next to the human bed…or on the human bed at the foot if allowed. He also has been comfortable sleeping on a rug on the lounge suite in the lounge after he has settle in and is comfortable with his surrounding.
Melo was very good getting his bath…no issues with the blower or brushing him.
Melo is a soft caring boy that loves to play ball, he will retrieve and return. We know !! Its so rare!!!
He would love the company of another suitable matched canine companion.
Overall is is easy to fall for this guy as he has a great look and great heart. He wants to be part of the family and has a lot of love to give.
The usual husky rules apply – Melo needs lots of love, regular exercise, grooming and a secure yard with 6ft+ fences. Fully vetworked.
