Meet LilyBean – The Menace Magpie with a Heart of Gold!

LilyBean’s start in life was far from ideal—she spent her first two years confined to an outdoor pen with other huskies in hoarding/breeder situation with little socialisation beyond a single person and no real-world experiences. When she arrived in foster care, she was shut down, fearful, and in poor condition.

But with patience, love, and guidance from her foster dog siblings and her carer Lily has blossomed into a confident, cheeky, and loving companion.

Lily thrives on routine—especially when it comes to mealtime! If breakfast or dinner is even a minute late, she’ll make sure you know about it. This girl loves to chat and won’t hesitate to sing out her demands, even if it means waking you from a deep sleep just to remind you she exists.

In her foster home, Lily has learned the art of social dynamics. She respects the older female dog, happily bosses around the laid-back goofball male, and has developed a healthy respect for the household’s confident cat (who reigns supreme). She’d do well in a home with a cat, as long as they stand their ground and don’t run—Lily understands boundaries when they’re made clear!

Now, about that Menace Magpie nickname… Lily has an undeniable talent for stealth-mode scavenging. She loves to sneak around, spying on anything shiny or interesting that she can claim as her own. Some treasures get chewed, some get obliterated, and others are tucked away for safe-keeping. You never quite know what she’ll decide is hers!

LilyBean is looking for a patient, loving home that will continue to nurture her confidence, embrace her quirky personality, and, of course, keep her mealtime schedule on point.

If you’re after a chatty, mischievous, and utterly endearing companion, Lily just might be your perfect match!

She’s pretty good on lead, still needs some training when she sees another dog and gets excited like when walking into the dog park for example. Knows the lead means walk time and is always happy enough for it to be put on, she will run and wait by front door for the lead to be put on.

She has been great with a 10yr old child visiting child, shy and weary at first like with meeting all new people but gentle and loves cuddles and running around with him.
