Zippy is a beautiful girl with the sweetest nature and a playful, cheeky personality that makes her very easy to love.
She came into care from a pound and has settled beautifully into foster care, showing herself to be a happy, affectionate girl who truly enjoys being around people.
On walks, Zippy can be a little excited at the start and may pull, but she settles as the walk goes on and responds well to gentle guidance. For a senior girl she still has plenty of energy and enjoys a good walk, happily covering several kilometres, along with smaller outings during the day.
She loves other dogs and enjoys their company. Because she can get excited, she is learning to greet them more calmly, especially smaller dogs. With proper introductions she could happily live with another dog, or she could also do well as the only dog in a home where she receives plenty of attention.
Zippy has learnt, sit, shake and is learning commands like drop, wait and ok. She is generally a quiet Husky who rarely howls, although she will happily come for a cuddle during storms or fireworks. She has been gentle around children she has met and enjoys affection from anyone willing to give her pats.
Zippy adores people and loves to be close to her humans, whether that’s following you around the house or curling up beside you on the couch.
Zippy is housetrained, enjoys car rides when safely secured, and is a relaxed, playful companion in everyday life. She has a gorgeous nature and simply wants to be close to her people.
In day-to-day life she loves to follow her people around the house and will happily supervise all daily activities. Zippy would thrive in a home that understands the Husky breed and includes her as part of the family. She is affectionate, loyal and full of that classic cheeky Husky charm, with so much love to give to the lucky home that welcomes her.
