AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION Teddy | 2yrs 7months | Male | Siberian Husky Located Melb
This little man was previously advertised as Atlas. He has been in care where we had his left patella operation and doing his recovery. He needs his new family to be mindful with him because he’s so high energy + post operation, he has a tendency to run headfirst everywhere and bump into things. Somehow has become an athletic klutz
Teddy is the most gorgeous little munchkin, that is a larger-than-life fuzz ball with a love for plush toys, puddles, and booping people with his nose.
Teddy didn’t see much love or company until he was surrendered to the rescue early last year, but don’t let that fool you into thinking he’s reclusive or shy. In fact, Teddy is determined to make up for all the lost time by being in everybody’s business all the time and greeting every dog with love.
Teddy is full of energy and love, and loves to have conversations with you. One of his favourite things in the world is sitting next to you and getting you to rub his chest. Teddy would suit to be either the only dog or with an established kind dominant dog to keep him in check.
Teddy’s young age, we know he’d love a doggy friend who can match his size and energy levels. He is very dog social and loves making new friends and being chased at the park.
Teddy is a Very Good Boy, very smart, housetrained and loves to be able to come in and out so he can be near his people. He’s very affectionate, a goofball and a little cuddle bunny. He likes to have his head on you when sleeping on the couch at night whilst you are watching tv. He thrives on routine and loves his people.
He loves his walks, and as a younger dog, has high energy levels that need to be worked off, he’s learning fast how to be good on lead, and needs just a bit more work here. When it comes to training, Teddy is a typical husky and only does things in his own time, but he’s got some good basic training sorted. He can sit, drop (down), shake, wait. He has been taught to sit and wait before he gets his food bowl as well, and he’s treat motivated.
We know his perfect home isn’t far away! Not suited to apartment living or rural properties. The usual husky rules apply, with no cats or pocket pets, lots of love and exercise, and secure dig-proof 5ft + fencing.
