???? Best Qualities: Winter deserves all the love in the world and will be an attentive and beautiful addition to any family.  Her love and affection for her foster family over a short span of time, has shown how Winter can open her heart to those who are willing to open their heart to her. To date winter has been a quiet girl, only speaking when she wants to express her affection or to tell her foster family that she would like a treat.   Winter is a lovely girl who is shy to start but will warm up very quickly with kind words of encouragement. She gets along well with her husky foster siblings. She likes to take things slowly at her pace, meaning that her initial reactions to over excited dogs may come off a little defensive.

???? Playful: Winter is very playful with other huskies she’s in care with, now she gotten to know them. When playing with her foster siblings, she has shown off her husky voice in playful song which is cute.  Winter isn’t really interested in chasing a ball or playing with kids who run around however, will always come up for a pat and scratch every now and then.

???? Obedience Star: Winter is very obedient and upon command can sit, wait her turn and come when called. Her foster family has continued to use her name followed by simple commands at home which she has mastered very well, often quicker than her foster siblings.  Winter is such a people pleaser and is rewarded with belly scratches, cuddles and positive reinforcement when she completes the actions. This allows Winter to feel like a valued family member and a positive contributor to her pack.

???? Outdoors: Winter loves the outdoors and is often found sitting and watching the flowers and grass grow, however also loves to wander inside to say hi to her family from time to time.

???? Bath time: is a breeze with Miss Winter as she stands calmly to get a wash and is not afraid of the hose, water or doggy wash soap suds.  After bath time Winter loves to sunbake in her favorite spot to dry off.

???? House Training: She is also toilet trained and has mastered using a doggy door to come and go as she pleases.

????Walks: Winter would benefit from a firm fitting dog harness to allow her full range of motion when walking.  She walks well on the lead and will sit and wait on command at each corner, however will need a confident walking companion who can set her back on track, if she begins to pull.

???? Foodie’s Delight: Winter is a great structured eater and likes to have a cup of dry food each day.  Winter loves a treaty now and then and will get your attention by cheekily snuggling next to you before telling you in her most courteous husky voice that she would love a treat.  Her foster family has been rewarding her great work with a liver treats, chicken jerky or pig ears.

???? Sweet Slumber: Winter has been living with her foster family extremely well and adjusted to the pack rules quickly.  She is a sound sleeper at night, currently sleeping together with her foster husky sister on the floor of the bedroom.  In the morning Winter loves to jump up to say a quick morning hello and will greet you with a lovely kiss on your cheek.

???? Kid-Friendly Potential – Winter has been amazingly gentle around children seeing them as part of her pack, with the youngest age she has interacted with being 7 years old.

ℹ️ Extra info: Winter enjoys zoomie fun but also likes to simply sit and chill in the company of her pack.   Whilst Winter is a 6 year old Husky, she brings with her a wealth of knowledge and obedience that will allow her to fit right in as a valued family member.

Winter would suit a family who is active and able to walk her regularly and also would thrive as an only dog, where she can be the centre of her family’s world.
